Seven (not always simple) money steps that help you navigate money decisions during a life transition.

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

What are the critical decision points in managing your finances when in an extended transition? How do you balance short term needs, which are often driven by emotions, with long-term goals?

We are joined by financial advisor, Bob Burger, to help remove the emotions that often surround money decisions. He’ll share his experience evaluating and understanding implications of various financial choices.

Bob will outline seven (not always simple) steps that help you navigate money decisions during a life transition.

Bob Burger, CFP, helps people make better, informed financial decisions without the conflict of commissions or a minimum account value. Unbiased financial guidance should be available to everyone, regardless of their current account balance.

Bob began his career trading and working with ‘high-net worth clientele’ at Charles Schwab. He’s worked in a variety of roles, including operations and portfolio manager, for multiple ‘fee-only’ firms. Those firms worked on an AUM (Assets Under Management) model focused on ‘high-net worth’ clients.

Struggling with the percentage of assets managed, Bob left to start Disciplined Money where all fees, investment advice AND financial planning, is based on hours served rather than a percentage of assets or commissions. Those who work with Bob want guidance AND an active involvement in their planning and investment decisions.

When he’s not helping clients navigate their financial path, he’s coaching, reffing, and playing volleyball so they can spend more time with his 14-year old daughter. He enjoys water sports with an emphasis on paddle boarding. Bob grew up in Buffalo NY and continues to play (in the old man’s league) ice hockey.
